what a shocking surprise that pete is a dope bassist. some real russian circles tones.

 

I listened to the singles yesterday and I will spin the album today. I loved this band when they blew up with WWN, but I can't get over his Maynard vocals.

 

it’s more maynard + chino. his screams are way heavier than anything maynard has ever done. but yes, the clean singing is definitely that vibe

 

Endlessly is awesome. Probably my second favorite after So Long, Mother Earth

I think I replayed that one like 4 times before moving on

 

Besides the Tool influence, I'm getting some Failure vibes from some of this.

Got through Piistol Star before getting to work and now I’m pissed I can’t finish it rn. Remarkable album so far. Feels much more explorative in the songwriting than stuff they’ve done in the past. Pete is out of fucks to give it sounds like

yeah endlessly is probably my least favorite so far. some starbucks and grocery store kinda stuff. so long mother earth, self destructor and peach are career defining kinda songs though

I haven't been a fan of any Chevelle records since Sci-Fi Crimes, but I've enjoyed the singles from this one and am really excited to check it out.

 

I fell asleep to this last night and only remember the first few songs but got damn they went hard

 

Saying "this feels like their ____" about an album that came out literally last year is dumb but this kind of feels like their Ohms

 

Self Destructor, Peach, and So Long Mother Earth are some of my early favorites.

Not much of a metal kinda guy but this album rips. Flows really well for the most part too

 

New album will be debuting at number 9 on the billboard 200 when charts are released on Tuesday

 

This album could be entirely instrumental and it would still destroy all its competition.
