I can't wait to binge watch this whole thing next week

 

I mean aside from all the horrible deaths and radiation it's really damn good

 

Yeah when he said that I actually smiled and nodded in like, appreciation. Showed that he wasn’t doing this because he was a mean evil fuck but was assigned to do it with no alternative (pretty much like everyone else) and wanted to make very clear that he was against this being harder than it needed to be.

 

I think one of the more staggering realizations is when the nuclear physicist woman learns that one of the “senior” guys in the plant control room is 25 years old. Like, no matter how smart you are you can’t be 25 years old and be in a “senior” position of a nuclear fucking facility

 

This girl i follow in twitter went off about the show not having Russian accents and quickly declared it trash after two episodes lmao.

 

Haha what an awful reason to not watch this. The creator does a great job explaining why they didn’t go that route in the podcast.

 

I thought about replying but I didn’t feel like arguing. Their loss *shrug*

 

I do wish they had more native speakers in general in the show, that would have made me really happy. Gorbachev was the only one where it was kind of jarring just because of what else I know that actor from.

 

I’m so glad they went with their normal accents. Great call.

Just booked a short vacation to a cabin in the woods with no internet and I was stoked until I realized I won't be able to watch the finale until Thursday and maybe I should cancel

 

Honestly, between this and The Terror, I've become a huge fan of Jared Harris. I hear he's great in Mad Men as well

 

He was great in The Crown. Doesn’t have much screen time but it’s super memorable. I love how much he sounds like his father as he gets older.

 

So pumped for tonight.

Absolutely fantastic finale to an amazing series.

I was genuinely enthralled by their explanation of how it all worked in the trial. So interesting.

 

We started the series saying “fuck Dyatlov” and we end the series saying “seriously, SERIOUSLY, fuck Dyatlov”.

 

"Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later, that debt is paid."

Great finale. Great series. Best thing I've seen this year for sure.

 

Can’t wait to finish this. I’ll probably rewatch it at some point but still give it breathing room when I do. I recommended it to a few people over the weekend and most of them said it sounded too intense to even try.
