  3. Really liked their last one and bummed I missed them at Wicker Park Fest.

  4. very good cheek face album

  5. Checking this out now and I'm really not feeling it so far. @Snoblin nailed it in the other thread - feels like they're trying really hard to write a TikTok hit.

I'm missing the parts of Emphatically, No that felt like the second coming of The Dismemberment Plan. Maybe I'm just in the wrong mood for it right now.

This is my introduction to this band but I thought this was a lot of fun

Someone brought them up in the Tour Prediction thread and I had never heard of them. Listened to this album today and pretty into it. Looking forward to digging into their older stuff.

Been obsessed for the past month...How do I get my hands on some vinyl?

Also, sounds like their next album could be released this Spring.

  10. Basically you can't because their merch partner went bankrupt a few weeks back (SCP), might be able to find some old stock around?

Luckily I don't have that problem, could sort something out for you here >> https://ilovealcopop.co.uk/collections/cheekface

  12. Their UK record label! Or at least handled overseas vinyl of the first three records. (Great label too!)

Got it. Plugged in my address just to see what shipping would cost and the shipping is $40, haha. Think I might sit that one out.

  17. I like how this band doesn't really do much to shake up their sound from one album to the next but always adds little Cheekface-esque flourishes to keep it interesting. Another winner here.

    Loving this album!

  20. Really hammering on the James Murphy impression on "I Am Continuing To Do My Thing." I'm more into this one so far than Too Much To Ask.

Cannot stop hearing “I just want to fly” in the fringe haha

The chorus of Life in a Bag has been stuck in my head all week

wow, well as the resident self-proclaimed chorus miser, i am surprised to say that these guys have gotten better on four straight records. the humor/cohesion balance i've always found wildly out of whack in their material continues to balance out. 'the fringe' is exactly what i've always wanted from them.

I’ve basically been listening to this new album for a week straight now. I went back to Too Much to Ask this morning and… I don’t like it.

The new album is such a level up in every way, it’s not even funny. The songwriting, the production, the musicianship is all better. Really really loving it. Popular 2 should be huge.
