Really digging this and the overall vibe. I still think the single Sun Poisoning is the best track, but also really love Spirit Meet Up, Last Year's Lust, and I Still Feel The Same. This band is so underrated.

 

I'm so glad I didn't sleep on this record. I wasn't sure I'd like it since the other LP didn't do much for me when I tried it out last year. Sun Poisoning kinda reminds me a bit of Goodness era Hotelier and I love how varied the songs sound. Definitely gonna be up there on my AOTY list!

Holy fuck “Dead Relatives”

 

This is a really good Rock Record. I feel like he taps into a certain southern Ontario/suburban GTA experience here which I think is fantastic. If it reaches the right ears, I could see this record being a huge deal for kids/young adults that have lived that alienating experience, whether specific to that locale or elsewhere.

Absolutely love the commitment to hating cops too.

I just listened to this again and I was going to come in and say something about how good “Sun Poisoning” is.

 

Sun Poisoning sounds straight out of 2004

 

I really like the direction the band went with this album. Seems like a natural progression.

Took only three listens to realize “Sun Poisoning” is a / the song of the year.

 

The vocal melody of sun poisoning sounds so familiar but I cannot think of why

 

sun bleached and yellowed by warm thoughts
