I really like this album, and I love "Nineteen" as a song, so don't get me wrong...but why do the keyboards on this record sound like a shitty kids toy?
What I’ve heard so far on this album reminds me a bit of Tegan and Sara’s The Con where it’s a sugary poppy album but there’s something subtly fucked up and chaotic about it too that is unsettling in a really dope way that enhances the ear-worm/really immediate elements even more. I feel like the keyboard “tones” or whatever and weird guitar starts and stops are kinda rad.
I thought the 8-bit synths in the chanting part of the new song sounded incredible, wonderful production on display
This is great. Really had my doubts with those first two songs that thankfully turned out to be loosies. Totally made the long wait worth it.
Pleasantly surprised how much I like this, I cooled on their last album fairly quickly and didn’t love the one-off singles. I think the production is fantastic.
Album rocks, "Last First Kiss" and "Calling You Out" are such a great tracks. Immediately hitting replay
they hit it out of the park with this. took it out on a run this morning and immediately had to hit replay when it ended. incredible
