At the very least, they seem to respond quickly to things that are publicly brought to their attention, which is definitely better than how some bands respond to stuff. I’m reminded of the issue with using/misusing artwork that the band hadn’t properly paid for that seemed to get resolved somewhat quickly after it became circulated publicly by the artist.
Not sure what they are doing to her voice in this track, but it’s not really working for me. Guitar solo was fun, but the rest of the song leading up to it left me pretty cold.
It still feels like they're trying to figure out what sort of the "new sound" for them is in this era but I don't hate this.
Roast me if this is dumb but both singles have some Swift flourishes with the way certain melodies play out / are enunciated and how the weirder verse or intro elements fold and click into a more pleasant, smooth, not weird, catchy chorus/pre-chorus.
Guess I’m in the minority here but this is exactly what I was hoping wouldn’t happen with Charly Bliss. 0/2 for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, I've loved everything they've released but these don't do much for me, unfortunately. Hoping they'll grow on me.
This band either got stuck with extreme writers block or is just not a full time band given the amount of time between releases at this point
Just judging by the songs they played the last two times I saw them, they've pretty much completely moved away from the crunchy Weezer sound. I think these songs are okay. They don't translate quite as well live. They do have another song they're playing live called "Calling You Out" that's really, really good.
I like the second song but not the first, it was fun! I'm still kinda worried about LP3 if the first song is more indicative of the new sound but I'm hoping that it ends up being great.
