I Don’t Know Anything and Easy to Love You are the weaker spots for me, everything else ranges from solid to phenomenal. Overall I think the front half crushes the back half
Okay, so, I've been listening to the album non stop for two weeks now. I didnt want to jump to a review until the album fully settled in. Reviewing on first listen is useless in my opinion. It's a very good album as a whole featuring a lot of songs that range from good to very good....but I don't think there's any song other than nineteen that I find to be great or "wow! My new favorite charly bliss song". Every song has a a fun moment or aspect that makes me like it and as a whole its excellent. Literally all of then. I guess my favorite was I Dont Know Anything. Up until that song, I felt the album was too pop oriented and needed something different...so that plus into the darkness was a nice block. Its an A-. Young enough is still king.
Just bought tickets to see them with some of my friends. Has anyone else seen them live? I am curious to see peoples thoughts on how they are live.
They were awesome on the Young Enough tour. I missed this one but the videos I saw from friends sounded great.
I just saw them this past Friday and they were excellent! So much energy from the band and Eva just kills it on stage.
Saw them play most of the new album last year and it all sounded great! Nineteen especially popped off live.
I mean I personally agree they’ve fallen off to an incredible degree but no need to tell them that in a shitty way. Glad they’re still doing the thing, glad they’re still resonating with people, glad I can just keep listening to Guppy. We can all coexist
“Fallen off” is likely not the right turn of phrase. They’ve just become incredibly not for me and I imagine if you ask the band, Guppy is at this point probably not for them
Guppy era Charly Bliss and Forever era Charly Bliss are two totally different bands. But I very much fuck with both. Also I'll never understand why people think it's necessary to personally address an artist to let them know they don't like them.
Oh for sure! I think their newest music is almost certainly the most authentic version of them. I also know that anyone who thinks musicians are making any money is wrong
Also nothing wrong even if they did become a TikTok band, it worked for Beach Bunny and I think that's cool
