  1. This was a blast. Nice to see KStew in such a fun movie.

    Action sucked, though.

The hate I have seen from men online over this movie just existing is like nothing I've ever seen before, except maybe with the all female Ghostbusters. Its depressing. Super excited to see this tomorrow though.

"All female Charlie's Angels!? What's next? All female Golden Girls!?"

This looks dope and probably will be dope. Need to wait for my next check though :(

The complaints about the new "Charlie's Angels" (or any movie that centers around women) will always remind me of this.

It was fine. It was fun. The cast was good. I just wish the script was sharper and the action scenes weren’t hyper edited.

  10. Oh no, another movie not about white men, they're taking over the industry

I loved how they subtly made the other movies canon including explicitly Full Throttle
New Creepy Thin Man couldn't touch Crispin Glover
Wish Naomi got to do less reacting and Kristen Stewart felt like a Kate McKinnon character at times but it was worth it for her off handedly saying she killed her partner in a duel on their wedding day and I loved her energy
Ella certainly made a big first impression

But yeah this hit all the notes it needed to and I liked how the plot was topical without being too on the nose, however those cubes were so weird looking

It was disappointing to have the trailer for “Underwater” beforehand and see that Kristen Stewart is in a movie with TJ Miller. It was filmed months before the stuff came out about him, but it still sucks that they’re playing up his name in the ads.

Likely won’t catch this in theatres, but I’m excited to check it out eventually when it hits streaming services.

Yeah this sucks but they have to realize there's a reboot bubble and opening this during awards season opposite Ford Ferrari a week before Frozen 2 and A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood was idiotic on Sony's part, I guess they saw Spiderman as their cash cow, but poor Elizabeth

oh I guess that and Jumanji will make them enough that they don't care if it flops, it just sucks how many obviously dumb decisions studios make without any repercussions

I find the breakdowns particularly interesting.

Charlie’s Angels drew a 66% female crowd, split between 36% over 25 and 30% under 25. But both demos respectively graded it low at 68% and 79%, with men at 35% giving it a 68% grade on PostTrak. Diversity breakdown was 52% Caucasian, 21% Hispanic, 14% Asian/Other, & 13% African American. Charlie’s Angels best markets were on the coasts and big cities. But again, nothing to brag about in Friday’s $3.2M gross, which includes $900K from Thursday and Wednesday previews.

I was initially intrigued by this, but the reboot bubble burst for me over the summer and I knew I wouldn't get to the theater for it--even with Regal Unlimited. I love Elizabeth Banks, so I was hoping for a win for her.

Anyone who didnt see this because it was too feminist is a fucking asshole or is tired of some "agenda" (aka women want to be treated with, ya know, respect...some odd agenda I know)... again is a fucking asshole.

This was such a fun movie, I really loved it. I think people need to lighten up.

Everything surrounding the release of this so far really makes me wish I had made it happen to go see this in the theater... I still want to see this really badly.but it will probably be at home.

The people saying this bombed because of sjw culture can indeed fuck off. I think it came down to marketing, which felt like it was non-existent, and placing it during awards season. I dunno if Sony decided to dump it or hoped Ariana’s soundtrack would do the legwork, but it sucks that it hasn’t connected.

My thing is that it's a series I have no interest in. I remember disliking the last reboot and have no attachment to the original series.

My thoughts exactly. Blaming men for this being a flop is wrong.

No marketting whatsoever, based on whatever marketing i did see the movie didn't seem like THAT big or an interesting enough of an upgrade..

i watched the McG Charlie's Angels last night. It's 100% a male fantasy jerk off movie (the 2nd one is better, but that's not saying a lot).... BUT the one thing that movie definitely had was $$$$$$$$$$$$ supporting it. Ridiculous cast. Big time action sequences.

I don't think going with Kristen Stewart and then a bunch of relatively unknowns was the way to go.
