Well yeah, but they're already all over the internet, for the past few years... Me sharing with a few people on chorus.fm has literally zero bearing on anything in the bigger picture.
Definitely some cool stuff that seems like that era, hard to tell exactly where anything came from, but I would say yes
Have you all read the Pitchfork review of Pop 2? I like how they pointed out the element of messiness in it--and how it's a good thing
I still can hardly tell the difference between her and Charli on Unlock it haha Also I haven’t bothered playing her solo stuff since I think it’s produced by Dr Luke
Jeeze, yeah he is credited as co-writer on all her singles except one, including one that was released this week. How extremely unfortunate
He's definitely been scaled back on the work he does. He has less credits over the last three years than he did for all of 2014. It's definitely a bummer that people are still willing to work with him, but I think his body of work probably does give new artists leverage. I mean, Green Light was HUGE even with all of the shit that went down in 2016.
It bums me out that they're using that Big Boi song in Apple ads since that means Dr. Luke is still raking in cash.
"As I know him, he’s been really great and supportive to me and I’ve been learning a lot from him," Petras said. "He’s been a really nice person and I wasn’t there when that whole thing [with Kesha] went down, but from my experience he’s a great guy and I’ve been having a good time working with him." When asked if she'll continue to work with Luke, Petras doubles down. "I’m always working with other collaborators," she says. "I’m always working with whomever the hell I want to work with. But it’s been really great working with him and I’ve been really happy with how it all came out." yikes
