with all due respect I am a huge fan of all her previous work but this laughs at all her other records.
I've kind of grown tired of her pre-Vroom Vroom stuff, but yeah, this is easily her best work to date.
PS this is produced by SOPHIE and Cashmere Cat. It would make everyone's life better if they listened to it.
I saw her open for Ellie Goulding and the crowd basically ignored her :( even when she played I Don't Care. so sad.
album's been out for a few hours and it's "easily" the best album of an iconic pop star? That's why you get those faces
Oh man, I get shit for when I'm down on an album, now people are complaining about my positive hottakes? woe is me. :(
I've been listening since Wednesday night!! I stand by my statement. I think this is one of the most ambitious, forward thinking pop releases maybe ever.
I'm 90% sure @brandon_260 actually is SOPHIE, @mescalineeyes you're proably AG Cook.... I'm onto you both
I need to give it a lot more time, but I definitely think N1A is my favorite release of the year. That took a lot of growing on me, so this may be the case here too.
Is Sophie going to release a full length? I was really excited after Vroom Vroom and was hoping there was a catalog but it was just a handful of singles.
We sincerely hope so! Two recent singles (It's Okay To Cry and Ponyboy) lead me to believe something is in the works
She's been playing a new live show with all new material. It just premiere in LA and is going to New York in Feb. So presumably something new is coming in 2018. She's released two new tracks this year that are incredible and wildly different from each other. Ponyboy and It's Okay to Cry.
Also there's Product from 2015 which is essentially an LP. Her first four singles and then four new tracks. With the two Japanese bonus tracks it's 10 altogether.
I’m not sure if this surpasses N1A as a whole but this definitely has some of XCX’s best material to date by far. She’s growing into one of, if not, the most inventive pop stars around
