This will definitely be deleted by the time I wake up but for any keeners Easily the worst of the three but I love it, sleaze to the max
That Nevada Remix of "Boys" is one of my most listened to tracks of the year; soooo catchy and infectious
Pop2 is some of the most abstract pop music I have ever heard. It's littered with familiar reference points, but the vocal processing, production choices, song structure all feel so new, especially for Charli. It experiments in a very different way than N1A and Vroom Vroom but the end result may be her masterpiece imo. There's so much on here that I don't know how to process, like what Caroline and Charli are doing with their voices on Tears. This is incredible.
*puts on pop2* *dies for 40 minutes* It's her masterpiece, I was in awe the entire time. Definitely agree with you that it's highly experimental but in a very different way, the structures/vocal manipulation/production intricacies. This is an accomplished work by real visionaries, after two listens it's easily some of if not the best pop music I have ever heard
This is pretty much all I’ve listened to since I first played it last night. Two random thoughts: I find this very similar to Big Fish Theory. Not in content, but in the way it pushes and reshapes so many different elements of dance/club music into something entirely new. Lil Yachty should have been on this and not After the Afterparty.
the stupid amounts of money I would pay for this! Backseat is such a glorious opener, the pulsating synth in the chorus is so cool and the way they warp it in the last part sounds like the future. Drums in the chorus of Dreams caught me so off guard when they drummed, the production on this is just nuts. Really want to see credits, I'm assuming PC crew handled the whole of it
