Thanks for rubbing it in that the 1975 x Charli show in London this July is almost certainly most definitely absolutely not happening :( Was supposed to be my vacation this year, going over for that show
I was going too and I'm super disappointed! I'm hoping when they reschedule it still has Charli on it.
Yeah, lineup was absolutely bonkers. @SpyKi, do you know if it has been officially cancelled yet? I haven't seen anything, but maybe they're waiting to see if they're able to announce a rescheduled date first? I had to buy the tickets through Ticketmaster's UK site and haven't checked my account there, but I would have assumed I would have still received an email with any official news on the show.
I saw a tweet from Jamie responding to someone saying they were rescheduling but tickets will still be valid. no official announcement yet though.
Charli in 2014- going to the discotheque getting high and getting wrecked Charli in 2020- singing songs by Jeremih party time hop inside
Mannnnn, I wish the outro was longerrrrrrrr It's so good, is about to get even better, and it just ends.
I must be in the minority being whelmed. I feel like she's done this a few times before on her last few projects. it's a cute interlude but that's about it. The other snippets were much more interesting sonically, this is more of the same.
I think it'd be a sick song to drum to actually... first part grooves, then the latter half of the song really lends itself to a drummer to let loose. Feel this way about quite a few Charli songs tbh... Could really spice up that outro... lol
A nice opportunity to post this cover I've come back to a lot Charli XCX with a live band, not unlike the Sucker era, would be wild.
I also learned that fun fact in their show! Bonus fun fact: Banoffee was part of her live band during the Taylor tour
Been listening to both songs so much. Dunno if this'll make sense to literally anyone besides me, lol, but something about the energy of this project so far feels like the Charli version of thank u, next? Which, those were my two favorite albums of last year (depending on the day; The Japanese House is also in that mix), so that bodes well for the album for me.
