Ok I thought the production sounded in line with what The Weeknd was doing on his last album and turns out one of the producers worked on 5 tracks from After Hours lol
Sounding like it may upset a lot of her hyperpop fans, but I know she can make a banger from any style
I'm not good at finding leaks anymore either so I guess I'll hear it when it's out. I'm fine with her releasing a mainstream pop album to get mainstream success, she's good at whatever style she chooses.
Digging the style. It's like if you mashed together Dua's Future Nostalgia and Marina's Electra Heart. Feels like a more direct progression/update to True Romance
She should have debuted this as the lip sync on tonight's Drag Race episode she is guest judging (word on the street is they do "Boom Clap," which is maybe the most lackluster choice for a lip sync)
I never thought she would release something uninteresting. It’s good, it’s fine, but kind of by the numbers for her.
It's very early 2010s electropop. Out of her discography, it feels the closest to Sucker, especially the unreleased stuff of that era. Electra Heart is an apt comparison.
Chloe Chaidez of Nasty Cherry/Kitten is in the horrible Ariel Pink KKK pics. Georgia of Nasty Cherry posted a story saying “Disgusting and vile to the core”, which is good to see. I assume no more NC stuff
Damn, I've met Chloe before and I definitely wouldn't have expected this kinda shit from her. Fucking dissapointing.
“Dressing up as a KKK member for humour/shock value/attention, while posting videos and photos of young black women on her ig feed and stories is the most fucked up lack of consciousness I have ever seen from someone I actually know… I’ve reached out to her privately to be clear but this is far beyond an “I fucked up I’m sorry apology” -Georgia
Honestly, even putting the edgy shit aside, why the fuck would anyone choose to associate with Ariel Pink in 2021? Isn't he best known for breaking into the Capitol, then whining on Tucker Carlson about it?
