Ohh that’s right. I thought I read a headline about a freak fall? Didn’t know they worked closely. That sucks.

So I haven't really heard anything by her besides her huge hits years ago, but I've been getting pretty into the whole SOPHIE/PC Music/100 gecs sound recently and heard I should check her later stuff out. Where exactly do you guys suggest I start in her discography where she starts going with that sound? And does she stick with it once she starts or does she go back to the more bubblegum pop?

I say start with Pop2 and then go forward to Charli and How I'm Feeling Now. Those three are her best imo.

She hasn't really left that sound yet.

Listen to pop 2/number one angel/this album. Charli was good but more controlled and a mix of her styles. She’s the best.

Starting with Vroom Vroom and moving forward through everything she has put out since (including most of the singles) makes the most sense imo.

but if you’re just looking for a certain project that encapsulates this era of her work it’s Pop 2.

I think the Number 1 Angel mixtape is probably her most “standard” or contemporary sounding release in the last few years, but still has some Vroom Vroom and POP 2 in it... it’s largely more of a pop middle ground of those two, I’d say. But Vroom Vroom in 2016 was the turning point for her, so anything after that you’re going to get that PC Music feel. It’s all really fun stuff...

Update, I listened to everything from Vroom Vroom and on and really enjoyed all of it but How I'm Feeling Now was EXACTLY what I was looking for, I fucking loved that one. Super late to it but I'll definitely be playing that for a while
