It's a win-win for them, she's doing all the promoting herself, not spending money on studio time, it's a unique concept... unless they do paid ads, the label is spending zero here. Even one sale makes it worth it.
Plus if other artists delayed their albums due to the current circumstances, here comes another opportunity at little to no cost, sliding in last minute to fill up (new) slots on the calendar.
yep. I haven't looked at what's coming out May 15, but I can't imagine any HUGE albums are slated right now
