i feel like she could throw that into her setlist and it wouldn’t be out of place

 

Body of My Own always sounded like an old Sega game to me or something.

 

Just gonna drop a bunch of features I love for the uninitiated.

 

She’s also on this one song called “Fancy,” & another one called “I Love It.” And, this one song, “Same Old Love,” was written by her & has some background vocals from her.

Just some super deep cuts y’all might not know, y’know.

I had no idea she was boom clap girl and idk how that makes me feel. So far gold coins and the Rita song are cool but Sucker is definitely my least favorite listen so far. She’s def aged well imo.

 

Yeah after sitting with this for a bit, I definitely feel like “detonate” is one of my favorite Charli songs. What a tune. Whole thing rules, but that one and anthem jump off the page for me

 

Love when Detonate shifts into that break beat section towards the end. It’s sick.

I think I like this more as a full project than Pop 2 now.

 

this is my fav Charli record by a mile. part of that is circumstantial. having the whole catalog to go through at once as a newcomer prob resulted in less attention being paid to each record individually. but this thing is truly fantastic and is one of the only three records ive really loved this year.
