I've liked every album more than the last. That might be because I just listened to them so fucking much that I got sick of them and was ready for the next one. lol
Sucker is a weird outlier for her. Most of it just doesn't represent who she is as an artist now, but I do enjoy the title track and the Rita Ora collab still today.
i have a soft spot for Sucker because I got into Charli when that album was released but it definitely feels like her label was trying to market her a certain way
First time I ever saw Charli was on the Sucker tour so I still love it. I like just about everything else released after more, but it’s a great pop album
Her older stuff was so not for me that it took me a while to give Pop 2 a chance after hearing all the praise it got. I only gave it a listen because I saw CRJ was on Backseat lol.
Pretty sure that’s the only reason I listened to Pop 2 as well and it blew my mind to the point where my brain wasn’t even able to comprehend how I ACTUALLY felt about it until a week or two of listening; before I realized I truly loved it I just kept going back to it because it was just so fucking out there, haha.
2nd time I saw her was on Charli and Jack Do America (so in support of Sucker) and she had laryngitis or something so she was in tears and had to cut the show early. I felt so bad. Still fun though. Sucker has some really fun songs, but definitely isn't as special as her later work
