i treated myself to a trip to the container store yesterday and good ones was playing in the store that is all.
Apparently they've been playing Good Ones for weeks now almost on repeat at my office building's cafeteria. So much so that someone asked about it in a public Slack channel. Almost compelled me to go back to the office for a day...
I don't see the issue, it's a cassette tape with a slipcase. She didn't invent this packaging style that's been around for 50 years
same lol, I get that it's a novelty but like, at least vinyl actually sounds good. cassettes are annoying to play, sound bad, and are super fragile
“vinyl actually sounds good” is debatable and depends on many factors including the care in which the press is handled with and very few records get a specific master just for the vinyl release so that alone is diminishing quality out the gate, then you’ve got variance in turntables, speakers, cartridges, and then upkeep of the physical records and the fragile nature in which they can easily warp (sometimes before it even hits your doorstep or the record store), etc. etc. I do love a collectors item and the ability to hold big artwork in your hand means vinyl wins out for me but for me, I’m not in for the quality
There's a new (?) Tiesto x Charli song called Hot In It floating around TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTdnqYLUx/?k=1
Seeing her twerk on a security guard's head a few years back, with him completely unaware, was one of the funniest things I've seen at a show.
