First impressions are that it's a fun album even if it's definitely not on the same level as her last three releases. New Shapes is still the clear highlight for me and there's a couple I wasn't super into as well as one I didn't like.
I'm sure she'll do more stuff like that at some point, it fits her so well. I bet she just doesn't want to be tied to one sound.
Kind of. I feel like she could easily make a record leaning more pop heavy still in that style though if she wanted to, with more palatable singles so I'm not sure it's just that. I feel like she's just enjoying a change. Who knows though.
I’ll miss the hyper pop stuff but she had 4 albums, an ep and countless songs in that style. Makes sense she’s moving on
Oh yeah I’m loving this. The opener, the delivery before the beat comes in on move me, the bridge in lightning, all of constant repeat & every rule. This is great.
Sped up lmao I didn’t recognize what song it was right away and thought she was just doing some wild sample to open the album, and then it hit me lol
After a few more listens New Shapes is still the best song on here but Constant Repeat, Lightning, and Used to Know Me are serious bops too. Move Me is getting up there too.
