“Charli” has debuted at #42 on the Billboard 200...

 

I know she’s never really charted well but that definitely seems below expectations for this.

And in learning this I found out that Pop 2 didn’t chart at all? What?

 

I don't think it counted because it was a mixtape and not an album.

 

maybe because pop 2 is a “mixtape”

honestly surprised too this didn’t chart higher

 

That has nothing to do with it, mixtapes can chart if they’re on streaming services and you can purchase them. It was the holidays and it was kind of a “surprise release” in a way which hurt it.

Number 1 Angel peaked at#175 and it was a mixtape

 

melon gave this a strong 9. crazy.

 

Apparently physical copies are delayed and aren’t even out yet here in the U.S. too...

 

Charli deserves all the success

 

I always figured Charli didn't really care about chart success, I mean Boom Clap Fancy and I Love It were all top ten hits so she could have easily kept down that route but decided to make art she feels proud of, also Senorita was only kinda co-written by her but another top ten Charli

I love this album so much. It might actually be my fave Charli project. I feel like it's got some of the experimentation of Pop 2 just a little catchier? But I love Pop 2 a lot too so idk.

I really am going to have to go to the Chicago show, no way around it. And I don't mind that setlist at all, but I did get to see Out Of My Head and Lucky at Pitchfork so that eases the missing Pop 2 songs for me.

 

The album also does not feel 50 minutes long at all

 

Wow I expected this to chart much higher, at least in the top 20.

 

Got a couple PROBLEMS, I don’t wanna COMPROMISE...

Thoughts is a real grower.

Can't wait for the Chicago show in a few weeks. The only other time I saw her was opening for Halsey in 2017, and it was a super short set.
