blame it on your love has always been good, it'll just never measure up to track 10 which is like totally fine.
This is mostly true but I also thought the Lizzo verse was a waste at first and now it’s probably the highlight of that version for me
I wonder what her career would look like today if she released that punk album instead of vroom vroom
Someone made an extended version on YouTube and gave it kind of a verse/chorus/verse/chorus format... it was pretty good. I’ll try and find it. EDIT: here @username
^2099 kinda reminds me of Bound 2 by Kanye, in a sense where I’m just like “wtf is going on here?!” Troye’s voice is just not good, IMO, in that droning “monotone” melody/faux-rap style... whereas Charli is really good at pulling off that sort of thing.
probably less than 48 hours now until we get to hear this (midnight in other counties). let's have some fun and rank some charli shit to pass the time. start with ranking the prerelease singles. gone > warm > 2099 > feb 2017 > cross you out > 1999 > blame it on your love
"The best album you will ever buy!" (not mine btw, but physicals are around, so maybe we'll hear it very soon)
