i've been calling the base album a "living document" with one of my friends, pointing to how its cultural impact continues the conversation and leads to more music. this remix album really does feel like the best response to the base album.

 

if you like the 1975 and good music you are going to be pleased as hell, its amazing

 

I'm not even halfway through and this is incredible. Completely new songs here, not just added verses, and they are SO GOOD. Caroline.... sublime

 

Yea like…all the songs already released were just remixes / added features but the unreleased tracks are more like entirely new versions / covers / sequels ?

von dutch remix was always a wholy new track, talk talk pretty different too. 360 remix partially there, but the lorde and billie were mostly added verses. A majority of this album is new versions / sequels

 

I don't like The Strokes, so I don't know if it's outside the norm or not, but I have never heard Julian Casablancas sound so good

 

i think about it all the time, incredible again

 

Excited to check this out and even more so knowing so much of it is entirely new.

Julian’s vocal melody is literally “owner of a lonely heart” lol

 

Just got to Rewind and this has been incredible. I may or may not have skipped to Apple after IMSSS and rewound back for Talk talk. Not proud of myself.

 

Out of all the features I was hyped for, TJH on Apple is by far my favorite at least in terms of the overall track

 

Yeah it's a killer new version of the song, I love that it wasn't what I expected at all

 

The only negative thing I can say about this album is that I would’ve killed for all 18 tracks. But damn, it’s really hard to be greedy after hearing this.

 

I’m not gonna get my hopes up but a Deluxe with the two final songs would be very cool (and would give her the chance to create another wild album title)

 

I was actually thinking about that too, but I also didn’t want to get my hopes up. Haha
