Seeing the reception for this has been so cool. After spending the past decade carving out her own lane, people are starting to understand what she's been trying to do all this time. If Crash was the "sell-out" album where she went big on the whole 'Charli XCX, the Popstar' thing, Brat is the album where everyone has finally bought into her vision. It's been incredibly satisfying watching her fanbase grow over the past ten years, even just on this website. But what is even more satisfying is seeing Charli grow into herself as an artist, trust in her own vision, and be lauded for it. This album is ****y. It's bratty. It's Charli baby. And I love it. Number 1 Angel, 4eva.
It kinda bums me out that people are turning on Crash because it has some great songs. The deluxe edition especially has some huge chunes.
i started listening shortly after Superlove was released, so that, Boom Clap, and True Romance were all i had at the time. TR is fantastic (and the only one of hers i have physically)
