As far as favorite Charli albums go, I don't think Pop 2 or How I'm Feeling Now will ever really move from the top for me but I have also already found myself thinking that this could be her best overall. Feels like the most "album" album of hers, with a clear vision, and it's extremely consistent.
The switchup in Mean Girls is too good Also I love the end of 365 so so much. Makes me immediately want to start the album over.
Maybe I'm just not remembering but it seems like there's more hype around this record than I remember there being for Crash.
Ummmmm hard to say. I feel like this one has a lot more internet memes, haha, but Crash was pretty hype leading into the album with Good Ones and New Shapes
I would agree with you there, but that's probably just because of the echo chamber that I'm in on social media lol....she's getting way more press coverage and high critical praise though so her marketing team is def working overtime
Enjoying this quite a lot. I think I'd be all over 365 if I was still in my phase of going out most nights of the week. Sadly I'm now in my 30's and that would fucking kill me. Also never realised that Crash was quite divisive for her and her fanbase.
She gave an interview recently, I forget where, in which she said she doesn't really like large parts of that record and finds it hard to listen back to. As for the fans, it's just the usual thing when an artist kinda smooths out their sound.
This is the kind of Charli I like, more “How I’m Feeling” than “Crash.” Very good. Not saying it wasn’t a genuine endorsement, but apparently people were speculating “Girl, so confusing” was about Lorde and that was her squashing it.
Yeah this is fucking great. 365 as a closer was a blast. Not that she needed to, but I’m surprised George is only credited on 2 songs. I’d love to see them write together more.
