Reading the lyrics, you definitely seem to be right. I think it's very clearly NOT anti-Taylor, but rather about how Charli feels being compared to her, around her, etc etc. Very personal. The media will twist it for sure though, brace yourselves for the internet
this is pretty disappointing for me, I like it significantly less on first listen than her four records and probably even less than Number 1 Angel. it's just way too repetitive for me and even ignoring that the melodies aren't hitting like they usually do. the production is pretty great throughout though. Sympathy is a Knife is the only song I really loved. Hopefully it grows on me but as I suspected based on the singles it might just not be my thing sadly.
finally got a chance to listen to this last night and it's wild. gonna need more time to gather my thoughts but at a few points I thought to myself "is this her best album?"
