black keys just cancelled all their dates and while part of that problem is also maybe not being an arena draw in 2024 I saw tons of people complaining tickets are 100-300 which is just insane. Arena shows should have 45-50 dollar seating options 100 from the top is just insane. Imagine paying a buck for a lawn seat at an outdoor amphitheater (don’t tell me if you have I don’t want to know)
Said this in the tour thread but I don’t think there are enough 3-5k GA venues to go around North America, especially since cities that have them would probably push towards arena demand for this tour anyways. Not to say she should do an arena in Columbus, Ohio, but The Anthem, Salt Shed, and The Armory are only so common…
I don’t think it’s too crazy to have The Black Keys in arenas, just crazy to have them there with those insane prices. if they had just priced it properly with nosebleeds being say $50 and lower level being $100 it would’ve sold fine. If I can see the Cure at the Garden with good seats for 65 bucks, I should be able to do the same for them lol Also, I don’t believe I saw a single date of that tour as part of the $25 live nation sale. EDIT: whoops, I thought I had posted in the Tours thread. But just swap “The Black Keys” for “Charli” and I think the argument still works lol
We’ve got some good mid sized venues here in missouri between both Kansas City and St. Louis but I frankly couldn’t see her pulling anything much bigger than the pageant here in STL which is about 2200? I feel like stifle theater would work too but that’s 3k. KC has the midland but even that’s only 3k too. Absolutely no way she’s gonna sell a lot at the enterprise center or chaefitz or the family arena tho
It's been hard but I've held off on listening to anything outside of Von Dutch. I'm excited to hear 14 new songs next week
