I loathe country music, but love this song. This song is still very Chappell and it's just a blast.

fully admit I listen to almost zero modern country artists (zach bryan I guess and that's like 8 songs I like total)

but you put on Heads Carolina, Tails California? You put on some Gary Allen? i'm singing along

 

I enjoyed it on SNL, I more meant with a full crowd translating live rather than just a tv performance.

 

I like plenty of country/country-adjacent stuff, this sound in particular just ain't my thing. Song is good, but not for me.

 

Fingers crossed somewhere in Florida so I can make up for not getting to see her at All Things Go.

Heard The Giver on the radio. I love that stuff like this and Billie's Lunch can get airplay but I wonder if being a lesbian is becoming more accepted or just more commodified. But then I remember parents getting mad at Sabrina Carpenter songs being too horny bc they had no idea what kind of concert they're bringing their kids to and I'm like, idk, not sure if society is clearly moving in any one way or another
