It's fucking hilarious to me because since I genuinely deal with MAGA family members, it's the person with the Kamala avatar that's acting like a MAGA idiot. Is that the schtick I guess?

I was actually just talking about that with my therapist this week. We were discussing how it should probably be looked at as a mental health crisis at this point, but we'd have to talk about mental health in general to get to that point. lol

Anyways, I hope Chappell keeps doing what she's doing she's killing it right now

 

I hope Chappell starts a revolution that makes more celebs start speaking up. Everyone deserves to have their privacy and be able to set boundaries.

Kamala is a politician and Chappell is an entertainer, they shouldn’t be held to the same standards. one actually has access to levers of power and could potentially decide to put an end to Israel’s genocide if elected president. she has had ample opportunity to declare she would do so if elected and explicitly has not done so, instead reinforcing her ironclad support for Israel— which is actually costing her support from some key demographics. Chappell has used her platform to voice support for Palestinians, but she doesn’t have any actual leverage to affect such change, but her lack of endorsement for Kamala is partly due to that and iirc partly due to issues she has regarding the lack of trans inclusivity in the campaign run. it’s not like she declined to endorse and then shrugged and said “lol idk”. agree or not with how she’s conducted herself, she had made her reasons clear. it’s also funny to talk about Kamala having integrity when she is running to the right of her own 2020 campaign.

 

I'm really glad I'm not voting this year. Kamala has so much blood on her hands and she keeps making promises to keep that blood coming.

Chappell has done literally nothing wrong with her short time in the limelight so far, one of the most inspiring pop stars that I'm glad a generation of kids get to look up to.

 

the only thing she's guilty of so far is caring too much what her "fans" think. for her own sake I hope she gets off social media entirely at some point or at least farm out the effort to underlings.

 

I’m not going to tell you what to do but I wish you would reconsider this.

Choosing to abstain from voting is a privilege. I saw other posts about this recently but unfortunately neither choice is going to lead to a ceasefire and end to the genocide of Palestinians in and of itself, but neither will not voting. What voting can do is hopefully prevent women, POC, immigrants, and LGBTQ people from potentially losing rights if Trump were to get elected. On top of the years of consequences that would come from him choosing more Supreme Court justices should he have to do so.

If you don’t agree that fine and that’s your choice, but I really don’t think not voting is going to help anything.

 

I’m not voting for a genocide, full stop.

not in a swing state either so my vote doesn’t matter.
