Wonder if she can hit #1, next week Sabrina Carpenter is definitely going to take it. This week will probably be her best chance to get there for a while.

@morgantayler you're slightly off with your weeks, and yes it's confusing.

The current week is definitely her biggest chance to hit #1, but we also know that Taylor will certainly release new variants if she feels threatened for #1.

    Next week is Post Malone
    Week after is Sabrina

Ah the chart tracking is weird lol. I also didn't Post Malone's album was coming out this soon.

I'm kind of surprised no one is using the Taylor strategy against her yet. Chappell could throw a bonus track on a $5 digital version and she'd clear that 5,000-unit gap instantly. And you know Zach Bryan had enough songs sitting around for a deluxe version.

I generally don't like ballads that much, and that was definitely the case with Olivia's last album, but all the slow songs on Midwest Princess are top tier. "California" is so emotional and huge sounding, and "Picture You" and "Casual" are both fun in their own right despite the slow tempo. "Guilty Pleasure" is the only song I occasionally skip, but I still think it's a solid 7/10.

I think it's a huge benefit that the album has a healthy serving of bops scattered throughout so the album's momentum never lets up. "Naked In Manhattan" is one of my favorite songs of all time, although "After Midnight," "Femininomenon" & "Pink Pony Club" are pop masterpieces too in my opinion.

Honestly, it felt like the mid-2010's was a bleak time for pop music where every other song was trying to rip-off the mid-tempo angst of Lorde's "Royals," and The Chainsmokers & Bruno Mars made the few token 'fun' songs on the charts.

Now between Chappell & Charli's albums, we're at a time in the music zeitgeist where we have fun, creative, unashamedly "pop" music on the airwaves again and it's so exciting. Billie's new music sounds less depressing too, and hopefully the upcoming Kesha & Sabrina projects keep up the momentum.

I still don’t love about half this album and I don’t think it’s sequenced well. (“Pink Pony Club” at track 11 of 14?) BUT the singles are all fantastic and “After Midnight” is so so underrated. No idea why that hasn’t gotten the same attention yet.

“Good Luck Babe” has been a song of the year contender for me from first listen — smart, anthemic, timeless pop songwriting. I’m sure her next album in 2025 will be received as even more of a coronation. Glad she’s working with Nigro; he knows a thing or two about keeping the stress of expectations out of the room during a follow-up.

I found out about them from Dan Nigro's Wikipedia page and this interview lol. I was ultimately very curious.

Hearing "A Soft Hum" for the first time blew my mind. That track is just bone-chilling incredible.

So uhhh, tickets for her Council Bluffs show are selling for $350-$2000 right now, which is severely out of budget.

Bit of a long shot, but is there any kind of bot or API that can give you price alerts on ticket sales? Because I am getting really tired of checking AXS every few hours to see if they finally added more tickets, lmao.

Idk if you saw but I’d hold off on trying to buy off the secondary market because she posted on her IG that they are trying to cancel bot purchases. She even said don’t buy secondary because those tickets could get canceled too.

Sounds like they are going to try to do another sale of those tickets eventually.

Same. I felt like I was in on her pretty damn early last year, like most everyone else around here that loves music. But already feel like I’ve missed the boat on seeing her live. Wife loves her so I’m already planning on blowing the concert budget next year if there’s a world tour.

I really wanna see Chappell live, especially since Council Bluffs is not too far from where I live, but the crowd would probably be too much for me to handle especially since she's pop culture's favorite artist right now. It would be cool to see though, especially if I had disposable income which I definitely don't lol
