Yeah your right, the 26th. I saw something that said this weekend was the last but I think they meant next weekend after this one.
He's playing his first show post-pandemic in two weeks and well...ticket sales are not great so far. Some sections are completely open and it's really only the seats generally up close that are fairly gone. I feel bad, but I honestly just don't know if he's an arena/amphitheater level artist anymore. If I didn't have plans in two weeks I would probably have tried to go. I don't think it helps that the cheapest seats are $79 before fees and lawn is $58 before fees. https://www.ticketmaster.com/chance-the-rapper-milwaukee-wisconsin-09-03-2021/event/07005AABA6D71074
I really hope when COVID numbers are back down, he sees the light and goes back to mid-size venues. I’m sure he can put on a good show, but the shine has clearly worn off.
Wow I'm surprised the show isn't getting cancelled, it looks practically empty! Not sure where his team's logic was in booking an amphitheater again. He had to cancel his Big Day arena tour because of low ticket sales, and since then he has put out no new music. What made them think the hype would've magically came back?
To be Fairfield be fair this is part of summerfest, and none of the amphitheater shows are sold out or anything. But his is by far the worst selling. But I also doubt it was really his decisions and is more on the festival for booking him there. He could’ve had a packed show on the grounds - I feel like way more people would be down to go see him for $20 compared to those prices
There is a LOT riding on his next project. If it's another dud his career in the mainstream honestly might be DOA
They still sell out every time he puts new hats up. Don’t blame him for getting a guaranteed bag of money and advertising it.
If Pat The Manager really was kind of the quality control guy and tried to stop the wackness of TBD, it's tough to be optimistic about this.
Seeing Vic and the Social Experiment guys there gives me hope at least. I think he knows where he went wrong with the last one, I have hope that he can drop something special I hope that's not just the last of the remaining good will that I have from the 2012-2016 era talking though
That Chance and Vic pic looks like it could have been taken in 2013. Can't wait for whatever those guys are cooking up I think Chance knows how much is riding on this next project, I think he can pull out some great shit still
