I dont want to be uncharitable, but its hard to imagine anyone is having any kind of transcendental spiritual experience listening to that song.
Chance always seems less like a man in love and more like a commercial for the concept of marriage. It feels so hollow and insincere, so the a slower version that amps up how "meaningful" it is seems even more insulting.
Was this ever shared in here? I follow Chance on Twitter but completely missed this whole argument. Not sure I really agree, Chance is allowed to make the music he wants to make.
The album was not great, but it was far from terrible, and while his popularity has definitely dwindled, I'm not sure that is a bad thing if he is happy and making the music he wants to make.
Absolutely wild take you continue to have when Acid Rap and 10 Day exist. I know you said they have misses but the highs (which there are way more of) are higher on those for me than The Big Day.
