We talking about the same guy who gave My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy a 6, and Ye a 9?

    Yeah, his opinions are meaningless.

Hot Shower is not great, I'm surprised it charted so well.

Album is fine. It's hard for anyone to make a good, cohesive album with 22 songs. the more songs you write, the increased likelihood of their being a few filler songs/songs which don't hit quite like chance wanted them too.

But it's a decent album, I was in a huge traffic jam yesterday and played it the entire time, probs would have gone insane without it. Really feels like most of the backlash i've seen is from those unable to grasp the concept of nuance, who built the album up to be brilliant before it was released and then tore it down because it didn't meet their wild expectations.

love Ben so much. love this album too but Im also someone in his mid 20s who got married last December so I'm definitely the target market. also feels a bit weird to have a Chance album that sort of evokes the same feeling of hearing a Hellogoodbye album

It is also really growing on me. Feel like so many people wrote it off right away without giving it the proper chance (no pun intended)

Tried really hard with it but haven't felt any compulsion to go back to it since release week

I'm actually liking it less and less now. Only songs I come back to lately are Do You Remember, All Day Long and Ballin Flossin

I actually had a pretty positive first listen but I've only really gone back a couple of times. I think it's the sheer length of it

I'll try to get more familiar with the songs before the tour

Chance is my favorite rapper of all time but LOL at his reaction. I can name five rappers better than him easily. In no order:

    2Pac
    Biggie
    Kanye
    Kendrick
    Nas

and that’s not even including influential groups like N.W.A.

I’d say Kanye is pretty good rapper because he compensates his technical weaknesses with originality, charisma and ability yo convey emotions. He has plenty of songs where his rapping really grabs me and moves me because of this. He’s like Tupac in that regard, who was also behind many others on a purely technical level. Kanye's not a great rapper though.
