Ugh, All Day Long and Do You Remember is such an amazing way to start this album.

 

I feel bad for how strongly I want to defend this because I’m not in love with it, but the revisionist history on Chance here and what I see on Twitter is wild.

 

I’m honestly liking this a lot on first listen. Def not as much as CB, BUT Surf was a huge grower for me.

 

Too long but definitely exceeded the expectations I had for this. Went crazy when I heard Ben Gibbard and even crazier when I hear the GOAT Smino

 

Yeah the Gibbard feature, and Smino features are my favs thus far

 

Feeling this more on my second listen, but it's still really long, haha.

 

Slide Around is a bop

 

first half was pretty strong but it's fallen off a bit where I'm up to now. first song I liked from the second half was "5 Year Plan"

 

Gonna start my first listen in like 20 minutes but this place is by FAR the most positive I've seen the album received honestly so I'm going in with tempered expectations

 

really? I actually would have expected positive reviews mostly everywhere

Same, I remember peak CD-era albums when you were apparently required by law to fill every second of that CD. Now they way Billboard counts streaming brought these albums back, haha.

 

Go look at the score on RateYourMusic compared to his other stuff lol

 

Yeah same, seen a lot of people hate it so we'll see

 

Awesome, zero Kanye will make this more listenable!

 

Is there lots of footwork on this or just the one song?

 

I thought the Teyana Taylor album was some of Kanye’s best work since like Be

 

That TT album was a damn fine piece of work!

 

This album is great. I love long albums, so this was right up my alley.

 

Just started, the first song is the kind of stuff I expect from him, so this is a good sign.

 

I feel like a lot of these 4-5 minute songs should be like 2 minutes long.

 

just one little part at the end of a song but it bangs

 

Interesting to hear that Do You Remember isnt just a Ben Gibbard feature, but all of Death Cab for Cutie.
