Paranoia and Summer Friends, yeah. The MTV thing was weird but I don't understand how people are still ragging on him for it. That's literally been Ye's entire mindset since like 07 and people lauded him for it
Listening now. Work Out is so good wow. Edit: Love Supa Bwe on Wala Cam too. Dude was the OG Trippie Redd and so much better too, everyone should check him out
After a couple of listens, I'm really liking I Might Need Security. I wonder how long we will need to wait until his next album.
The love/hate relationship with the Security sample is the exact same convo as the riff in The 1975 GYAT and I think we need to merge both threads and have a flag football game of pro-repetitive riff/sample people vs anti-repetitive riff/sample people to determine who is correct.
Just made my way to 65 and yeah it's probably my favorite too. Really like them all though.. I think this sounds more like his pre-coloring book stuff? idk
The screamed “65th and Ingleside” is probably the most emotionally positive cathartic release I’ve heard from Chance
Obv I’m gonna listen to these on Spotify at some point, but would it kill the guy to provide SOME sort of download option?
Yea these songs are great, some of his best lyrics and flows as well. 65th & ingleside sounds good enough to be an album closer imo
Sample doesnt bother me for Security I do empathize with people not as much into Chance now though, Coloring Book is cool but it was a decent step down from Acid Rap imo
I'll jump on the "Acid Rap" was his peak train. ULB is the only post-Acid Rap thing he's done that's made me go "wow" - Coloring Book is fine, but I don't return to it often and I only REALLY like about half of it. I dig the 4 new songs and am still excited for what he does next. Dude is still early in his career and has tons of potential... I wouldn't write him off yet.
