I will never understand how albums aren't put up for streaming at midnight on the date they are announced to be released.
I mean, they usually are. This is obviously a special case where Chance or his team didn't have it set to go up at midnight
oh we're playing this game where every hour we think of a new reason that it'll be "this time for sure"
He said on the invite to the listening party that the attendees will be there for the premiere, so it's definitely dropping tonight.
lol y'all are crazy. It's 11:30 in Chicago where he's having a live listening party. He'll most likely drop it at Midnight, Chicago time in line with playing the album live. Why are we acting like this is a mistake of some kind?
They never are for me. I usually have to wait at least another hour after midnight local time before new stuff is actually available for download on Apple Music, if not even longer. Not saying that’s the case here, just in general.
Yeah I was bummed about missing out on RSVPs (since I live in Chicago) but then I realized I would be out until 1AM or later and while it would in one sense be worth it (maybe get to meet Chance, hear the album with a bunch of other people), I'd rather not be out on a weeknight until 1AM+ listening to the album.
Apparently he is performing at the listening party now. EDIT: So maybe when he is done performing the album comes out?
