I feel like his feature choices didn’t make much sense on that record. still ride for Eternal being a great song
There were so many cooks in the kitchen for it. It’s basically the album equivalent of a blank check movie and Chance really all out in the features, even if so many of them don’t make sense or work. Also, 77 minutes is insane for your debut album.
I think the previous releases were all considered “mixtapes”… imo it’s a less meaningful distinction in the streaming era than it was before, but yeah
I recognize that it's his debut album because he says it is and he's the artist, so it is. But I also recognize that it's his third full length and the difference of album vs mixtape in his discography is simply a title
I think the main distinction is that this was released for free on the Internet and you had to pay or used a paid streaming service to listen to The Big Day. Either way, it’s whatever.
