Really enjoying this so far. I don't know if I prefer this or Acid Rap, but I think this is definitely a more mature album. You can really hear the Kanye influence on this one.

 

I'm enjoying this. I love Chance's style.

 

weird that people don't love mixtape. though i wish i could cut the yachty verse out

 

mixtape is almost definitely my least favorite but I still like it alright. this tape is so good

 

Yeah the yachty verse is the only thing I'm not sold on

 

Well that and Blessings making me sing Praise You by Fatboy Slim every time I hear the hook

 

Yachty verse is surprisingly OK honestly.

 

I guess I'm weird, where so-so guest appearances never make me want to skip or dislike a song. More I just tune out their spot. It's why I like "So Appalled" and "All of the Lights" and...

 

I wouldn't quite assume anything here, haha. It's totally possible that after 2 weeks it's a free DL from iTunes like Surf

 

I switched from Spotify to Apple Music for this release, it's actually way better imo

 

Finish Line, No Problem, Angels, Same Drugs, and Blessings (first one) are all pretty much perfect

I normally hate Yachty but I like his verse here.

I can't stop listening to this. Just amazing. "No Problem," "Blessings," and "Mixtape" jam so hard, and "Juke Jam" is sexy af

AOTY contender honestly, it's dethroned TLOP for my #1 spot. I think it goes by really quickly too, I wouldn't cut anything

 

I don't really hate any part of "Mixtape" but I don't really like any of it either.

 

So this is great. Gonna need to listen a few more times to know how I really feel about it though.

Apple Music has been kind of a pain, however. For some reason, only certain songs downloaded to my phone after taking the necessary second step to download them. Like half the record still won't play without wifi and also seemingly refuses to download when on wifi. Idk if it's something I did wrong or if it's a bug or what

 

I keep trying to hear what people are hearing on Same Drugs but I just dont its a mediocre song for me. I think I am just immune to some of Chances charms while others here are just completely intoxicated with the way he does his thing.. which is great! Im glad for them it just doesnt do the same thing all around for me.

 

I think he makes pretty powerful Peter Pan allusions while leaving it open enough for people to connect their own experiences with the message

 

Yeah I think the lyrics are one of the main reasons I love that song.

 

Listened to this about 5 times or so and I'm convinced that this is the best thing he's ever put out by far, and I'm a fan of everything he's done

 

A few rubbish guest features aside (surprisingly not including Bieber), it's a pretty strong effort. Definitely enjoying it more than the Donnie Trumpet album.

 

I think all the features work pretty well within their songs
