Enjoyed this a lot but the slow-mo got to be a bit much at the end.

 

This was great

 

The slo-mo was great every time, the music was great every time

 

It’d be cool to see Reznor/Ross take this soundtrack into a live setting, a DJ set would be cool.

This was fine. The GoPro tennis ball parts were too much. I had to turn away.

 

Yeah i did not like those shots. Felt a little overdone

 

Was there a reason this was a period piece?

 

something happened in 2020 that nobody likes to think about

 

Had to see this again because I couldn’t stop thinking about it, it was nice to see it with a crowd into it.

 

A funny thing I just thought about because of it being set when it was set, Art won his six majors off of Fed/Nadal/Djo/Murray’s prime lmao.

 

presumably so they weren't all wearing masks

 

That doesn't really make sense since it was filmed after most mandates were dropped and you could have just required vaccination.

There was one scene where the radio was referencing Hillary Clinton and then it was never mentioned again.

 

i meant so that you wouldn't show the characters actively still wearing masks, which many people still do

 

But why? What would be the harm if some of the people in the audience are wearing a mask? Lots of other movies have come out post-COVID that are sent in the present.

 

I actually found a list of films that are set in the near past. Some make much more sense than others.

Does real tennis make the audience sit outside with no shade in southern states? That seems like torture for everyone.

 

Pretty much worldwide, yeah. Only a few select stadiums are covered.

 

Some movies that take years to develop are set in the year the screenplay was written, and the filmmakers decide not to update it for whatever reason. It's not that interesting.
