This blew me the fuck away. The trio were obviously amazing and the score was insane (shocking no one). I thought it was so cool how the three leads are the only recognizable actors in the whole movie. It played out way differently than I expected based off the trailer and it was even better than I was imagining it to be.

Did anyone else call Patrick doing Art’s serve at the end to fuck with him. I whispered about it to my friend pretty early on and we kept getting excited during that whole scene leading up to it because it felt like it was faking us out. Lol

Also I’m 31 and got carded when the girl scanned our tickets. I’ve never showed ID at a movie theatre in my entire life. I’m also pretty sure the whole row in front of me was like 16 year old girls. So that was pretty baffling. I obviously don’t care, but it was just so funny

 

Are you an amc a-list member? My local theater has been asking for IDs all the time lately after not doing so for like, years

 

I wish I was but I unfortunately I am not.

She also didn’t ask my friend and she’s actually 2 years younger than me. lol

 

I did the same. Only not early on. It hit me just moments before it happened, I think once the flashback confirmed that they slept together the previous night.

 

Was it implied Patrick was now an addict? I looked away for a second and when I glanced back it looked like he was messing with a bruise or something on his vein/ditch.

that’s the implication I got but it was just that one scene so I don’t know.

 

Yeah, it seemed like they were hinting at that, but maybe it got cut or we’re just misreading it.

 

I thought the bruise was from when Tashi grabbed his arm the night before

I thought this looked pretty fine but I wasn't particularly excited about it (and also I know less than nothing about tennis) but I had a free Sunday last weekend and felt like catching a movie and liked Luca's other films, so, off I went.

I loved it. It's a great feeling when a movie just like, completely sweeps you off your feet unexpectedly.

 

I may be misremembering but I don't recall what tips this off...mind clarifying?
