This was fucking awesome, really loved it. I was unsure about ten minutes in and then suddenly I was completely enthralled and it flew by.

I feel like Challengers and Evil Does Not Exist are the best two I’ve heard this year for sure.

 

I’m glad the Challengers score train is picking up steam. Think it’s the clear and obvious choice. It’s truly an amazing moment each time it hits during the movie but that first drop is quite literally like when Dr. Grant sees dinosaurs for the first time in Jurassic Park. It’s one of the best moments in film this year.

now it just needs a Best Pic nom to push out some of these mid ass movies.

Finally saw this. This was great. Awesome score. Some real innovative cinematography.

 

The queer aspect of this was a lot more subtextual and less blatant than I though it was going to be, besides that one scene where they kissed. Based on the discourse I thought there was going to be a full on explicit 2m1w bisexual threeway sex scene in this lol

Also I want to learn more about the world of low ranked dirtbag tennis players who live in their cars and smoke cigs

 

Andy Roddick only won 1 grand slam. He’s worth $40 mil. He’s probably the best comp.

 

Losing in the first round of the four major slams is a low six figure payday. In a global sport, that may not go extremely far with all the travel expenses, but if you’re top 150 in the world, you’re making really decent money.

If Arthur is good enough to have won three slams twice each, he’s easily collecting 10 million a year on tour.
