May be hitting up the LA date. Liked this record all year but for some reason it really started heavily resonating with me in November. Would hate to never see them live.

Tonight was phenomenal. Never got to see them before, and it was truly amazing. Caroline's voice is something else. Moth is a super special album to me, and they played all my favorites off it. Can't wait to see what these two do next.

Yeah, last night was so great. Couldn't get over how good Caroline sounded.

It made me so sad that they're hanging up Chairlift. This band is operating at the peak of their abilities. They're only getting better as songwriters, the new album is getting some great placements (Apple Watch commercial! Look what that's doing for Marian Hill) that could move them up the next tier on festival bookings, and their live show is incredible.

 

It makes so much sense that ch-ching was written for Beyoncé. That's my fav on the album

The A-side of Moth is one of the best 5-song sequences I've ever heard.

 

the counterpoint in "Crying in Public" is so masterful i cant stand it this fucking record y'all

 

like for fucking real they are so wonderfully rhythmic, musically impressive/expansive, vocally incredible (doubly so when you see the level of calisthenics Polachek does on stage), yet they're all accessible undeniable fucking pop tracks at the same time. a duality attempted and failed at by many groups yet they achieve it without even trying

Crying in Public is one of my favorite songs ever
