Beyond all the shit on a global scale, 2016 has been a very dark and bad year for me personally. Moth has been my personal ray of hope since January, a record to put on when I need to feel a familiar sense of comfort to get through it all. It is my favorite album of the year, Crying in Public is my favorite song of the year, their concert in Vancouver was my favorite show of the year. Crying in Public was there as a reminder of how important my relationship is, Moth to the Flame as an escape into pure joy. I'm really grateful to have had the record with me all year, and now my only hope is that they'll play Toronto as one of their final shows, or that I can make it to whatever show is closest to me.
It's grown on me but like it doesn't make any sense when Unfinished Business already sounds like a perfect closer.
