I enjoyed my first listen of this, feel like I could grow to really love it.

 

this is all I want to listen to. $40 USD shipped for the record, definitely getting it the next time I get paid.

Very good album to take for a drive with the windows down on a sunny day in my experience

 

This hasn't clicked with me right away the way Drag did. I hope it grows with time, that record is really special to me and I'd like this one to be too.

 

initially feels very front loaded. also wish i didn't overplay the singles before it all came out, but im really digging it.

 

This is one of my favorites of the year. The first few tracks are especially strong but I find the whole thing extremely consistent. Stay Awake and Viv rock.

Woah. That part about Stretch ur Skin is really interesting. I could tell it was about a relationship, but I was surprised when I read about how it incited his ex and her boyfriend to both text him telling him to stay out of their lives..

That's not to say it isn't their right to do so. It just seemed off to me with my near-nothing amount of contextual understanding of the song.

Added thought: I love that he talks about actually considers the song topic and doesn't just write about any emotion he's feeling - taking into consideration other individuals who might be impacted by his platform.

 

I wonder if some of the quotes in Stretch Ur Skin are from conversations he had with his ex? Aside from those lines it's a pretty open ended song.

 

I listened to this album thinking they were Cende (a band I'm also only mildly familiar with) but realized pretty quick this was a different band, which made for a great surprise, esp since I love the album.

Really can't point to a single track and say "that's filler" or "this doesn't belong here." Stay Awake is especially great. Album kind of reminds me of that Warm Thoughts album that came out last year but much more varied.

 

But what you said it fucking sucks it always has and always willllll

This is that album of 2019 that seemingly came out of nowhere and completely floored me. This is a special record.

 

Took a walk last night around 11pm and put this on. Made it even better

 

Watering your garden while listening to "Water the garden" is a next level experience. Recommended.

This is so so good, AOTY contender for me. Bordering on obsessed at this point.

 

My girlfriend confessed she bought this album after hearing me listen to it a few times. I am happy.

 

Great record, there’s something almost nostalgic about it.
