I’d still have it at my number one spot from last year even if I redid the list. Now, if only I could get my hands on a record...
Maybe because I was obsessed with another album during its release last year, I never paid any mind to this album. I'll change that tonight. Happy in Your Head sold me on giving it a chance.
Def a good record. Dont know why it fell off for me. Could be the production, not sure. Maybe it was bad headphones one time but my last listen to this sounded really flimsy. Ill try again tomorrow probs
The production certainly leaves a lot to be desired but I love the song writing and the emotion on the record.
If you guys email the band, I reckon they could point you in the right direction for a record. Went and saw the headline show in Melbourne 2 weeks ago, boys are on fire.
ugh so jealous. I saw some footage of, I think, that show and it looked amazing. it looks like Smith Street Band are surprise opening some shows too? will definitely email them now!
This is def one of my favs from last year. Full of a ton of ear worms. There are a lot of individual pieces I don't love and sometimes don't even like. But it all works well together. Excited to see where these guys go and how they sound with good production.
Will had booked to support them solo, but the band had some new material to try out live and the crowd lost their minds.
that’s incredible, I would have lost it too. anything else you could recommend that hasn’t made it’s way to the states yet? also, it looks like No Sleep records has Drag It Down on You back in stock!
I'm listening to this now again and it's weird how, despite being less than a year old, it still immediately brings me back to a specific place and headspace
I don't get around to too many shows these days, just happen to know these boys so I go and support them when I can. From within that small scene in Aus a lot of bands/artists they have toured with are decent; Slowly, Slowly - Pretty Littles - Jess Locke - Alex Lahey - are a couple off the top of my head?
