The face of a girl trying to steal our Mac and cheese no matter how many times we throw her on the floor
Any advice for a cat (older, 10 years or so) that pees out of the litter box 50% of the time? It’s starting to really bum me out.
I second getting to the vet sooner than later. Is there any blood left behind when you're finding them going outside the box? It's often bladder/urinary tract related when they start doing that according to our vet. I think they said older males specifically are more susceptible to bladder crystals..all of ours are on at least a mixture of urinary health food (the one that needs it the most refuses to eat it so we have to mix it with the food he actually likes lol) now after a pretty mild scare a couple of years ago.
He doesn't seem to mind it at all but still might not keep it on him. My company does a sale with everything 90% off for employees so Chester finally got his valentino cat collar lol
It's still an individual thing, I volunteer at a rescue and there are cats that would let you pet them for 24 hours straight if you want to.
I love how friendly and outgoing my cat is and will let you pet her even when she doesn't want it, meanwhile my mom's Maine coons are so skittish and duck down under every pet. Her poor youngest one is bullied by the older one too even though he was very gentle and loving towards her as a kitten My mom's boyfriend like.. wrestles with the older one. He's a fucking cat, not a dog.
My mom and her boyfriend are like "he's playing!" But no, he's just reacting to being attacked. It's defense. Come on now.
I can do like 10 laps around our island and kitchen table and our smallest will follow me ever single step trying to grab me to stop and pet her. other days she bites me before my hand can even make contact lol
I accidentally bought non- clumping cat litter because I got 10lbs more for cheaper than my usual store brand. I didn’t realize it said non clumping until I got home. I can’t take it back because it’s 50lbs and too heavy for me to carry back to the store
2 things There is a new cat cafe opening literally a mile away from me, so I am going to orientation tonight to volunteer, it looks like a place I can be more involved with than the other shelter I volunteer with. Also, I am flying to Florida on Saturday (from NJ) and getting my cat who has been with my old roommate for over a year. I rented a car because I don't want to put her through an airport and airplane. Going to make it a 2 day trip back up. Does anybody have experience driving this long distance with their cat? I'm a little nervous but not really, my cat is entirely indoors though so she's definitely going to be weirded out at first.
