Oh god no!! I’ve educated people about declawing and how it’s cutting off their fingertips. Some people didn’t know that. Just a nail trim, but I call them his claws.
Anyone had good experience with a cat that's started not marking, not fully emptying their bladder, but peeing a little on carpets? We've been doing all the regular stuff the internet and the vet recommended. He's 100% healthy, got that checked out, been cleaning it all with enzymes and making sure it gets removed immediately and he's got clean litter boxes. But maybe once every two weeks now, he'll eliminate like less than a shot glass amount of urine on one of the rugs.
i don't have any experience with this but did you happen to change cat litter brands? i know sometimes a change like that can trigger different things for different cats
I'm stressing out. We have 1 indoor cat that is treated like and is a queen. We also have a few "porch cats". Mostly feral cats we feed and water. They have come and gone over 12 or more years. Every now and again one lets us pet them, but that's rare. One had kittens about a month ago. I saw the mom cat 3 days ago hanging by the road and seemed fine. Now she is, No where to be seen and these 5 kittens are just wandering the porch. Something happened to her I'm afraid. I've given them soft food and water in a shorter bowl. They ate the soft food and now I've given them some kitten formal which they GOBBELD up. I'm debating on what to do. IDK if I should keep doing what I'm doing with them, or take them all into a large box and put them in my garage for a bit so they can grow safely for a bit. I have them a short box with natural litter as well.
Talk to a local vet or check online for a cat group maybe someone can foster them. Also it's generally a good idea to trap and Neuter strays you feed so they don't reproduce. They generally do it for cheaper if they know it's a stray, at least the one my mom goes to. Also there's some people that honestly if they heard will come and trap them for you. If they're kittens there's a good chance if fostered they can find homes
Gotcha. I wish I had trapped these other cats previously or reached out to find help to do that, but I just……..didn’t. Sucks. I may reach out on my FB to see if any of my friends want to take some. Also about helping trap some of these. I could figure out a way myself too. I went by the vet and I didn’t realize it wasn’t until 6mo that you can get them fixed.
I don’t want to bring down the thread, but I found out this morning my best friend of 16 years has a tumour around his heart and isn’t going to make it. The vet said he doesn’t have much time left. I’m so unbelievably heartbroken right now. Can’t stop crying. I love you, Nolan.
