That's how we got our second cat Keebler. We were fostering him because the local cat shelter was having construction done and he actually got adopted after a few weeks. Then the adoptive family returned him after one day because their other cat was super territorial (and grieving his brother) and injured Keebler stupid people didn't realize how to properly integrate their pets. Anyway, we got him back to care of him for a couple more weeks and eventually our first cat Peanut Butter came around and played nicely with him instead of incessantly pummeling him at high speed and we decided to adopt
