Happened to me the other week. Literally just woke up and unknowingly stepped on it in my socks and walked all the way to the kitchen that way. Was nottt happy haha thank God I had carpet cleaner

 

Every once in a while they’ll leave us a present, but I think it’s cause they have a hair in the poop and it gets stuck and they just want it off. Never caught one of them straight-up shitting on the floor haha

Ah finally have all the cats just relaxing doing their thing with an open house. Poe would not leave meadow alone the past few days when they were together but I knew if I allowed it for long enough they would get used to each other and finally they did! So happy about it.

First time they have all slept together. I am so so so happy about this.

does anyone have any advice for preventing cats from clawing furniture? specifically couches.

 

Get scratch posts is a pretty obvious thing, I'd imagine you have some already. Do you have any near your couches

 

i haven't bought any because my girlfriend said he doesn't use them? i got an empty cardboard box that he gets pretty aggressive with though. it's right across from the couch.

 

Dude. I'd definitely get a scratch post or two and put it near your furniture. If he is doing it to the couch he will definitely use the post!

Another thing you can do is actually hold his paws and goody the posts once you place them where you want them. Some cats don’t use them just cause they aren’t familiar with them. He should catch on after two or three examples

 

I used a laser pointer for Meadow and it seemed to work well.

I have one of those cheap scratch boxes near my couch, and I trained them to use it with treats. They're obsessed with scratching it now. Also put blankets over the sofa armchairs.

 

I told my girlfriend we can get one blanket for each of the superbowls the broncos have won. she's a vikings fan..........
