The whole digital fur thing strikes me as such a waste of money and effort. Especially where you can see everyone's faces. Why not just use body-suits made of fur? I know it's not my money paying for it, but still. In general I just think movies cost way too much nowadays, and over-reliance on CGI is a huge part of that. I think it is very dumb to use CGI to just put fur on actors or to make a costume that could easily just be made out of some material and actually worn. All of that being said though, the general consensus I am reading seems to be that these cats in the trailer look horrifying and nightmare-inducing and I think they all look sexy, so I guess their crazy, expensive, convoluted process worked on me.
I'm not a fan of using CGI for suits when there really is no need. I know those films have HUGE budgets and make insane amounts of money back, but it still just rubs me the wrong way.
I feel like if you add a laugh track to this it just plays off like one of James Corden's late night bits about some fake movie haha. It's so hard to take any of these actors seriously with how much smoke they're blowing up this movie's ass
Remember when I said I'd see this via Redbox? I've since decided that this can only be probably experienced on the big screen, & I am so ready for it.
