It is head canon that you are now dead and every subsequent post by you will be translated to *meows*
Didn’t realize the first song in the film says Jellicle like 40 times alone. Why did no one warn me they’d have human feet, and that those human feet would never actually touch the ground?
I actually don't think there was a plot in this? Like I vaguely gathered that Idris Elba wanted to do something and was the bad guy, but the entire movie felt like "Hello, I am this cat and I do this thing" and then they would go away for the rest of the movie
He also had magical powers that the magic cat didn’t have until he conspicuously did (or did he?) also why was he trying up cats on a boat but only the famous ones. We deserved a better cat villain
Ok I want to be safe hi I’m STEVE and I have a couple pet peeves So you better watch yo back or I’ll smack thee *poof*
“Reviews don't matter, man. At the end of the day, people are gonna go see it and it's gonna be a deportation into another dimension. It's an incredible, incredible, brave piece of art. It has always been that way. When it came out on Broadway, people were like, 'What is this?' It's something totally different.”
Also, I'm still not entirely convinced this happened or if it was just my mind breaking down, but did this end with Judi Dench giving a monologue directly to the audience about how to properly treat your cat?
And in the background the actors have no idea what to do, going between acting like cats and being “mmhmm tell it like it is Judi”
This movie is absolutely going to be the next The Room or Showgirls. This will be so fun to get drunk to and make fun of.
Haha I was literally editing the post to say that when you commented. This is much more in the vein of the Room or Birdemic than RHPS or Showgirls.
What’s interesting is that this is a mega budgeted movie that comes across like the room and birdemic which are Both no budget movies made By non actors. The fact that something like this could be made With this much talent/$$$ behind it is truly baffling.
Hope you’re all having a great Christmas - what’s your family tradition? Cause apparently mine is gathering around the fireplace to watch a bootleg copy of Cats.
Like the play or movie? Bc that pic looks horrifying either way this post reminded me that my dead grandma had cats on vhs and now I’m feeling so many emotions
